RE: Mats in the Office

4 August 2020

Hello Jackie,

The Mats:
  • Entrance to the main reception area (1 Mat) - thick straw mat with rubber base.
  • All external door exits on ground floor (7 Mats) - thin, straw, no rubber base.
  • Staff lunch room (1 Mat) - between couchs, thin, wool/carpet.
  • Fire escape door on 2nd floor (1 Mat) - thin, wool/carpet.
Condition - generally okay, with no wear or curling edges.
Rubber based straw mats dont skid when walked on but the thin carpet and straw only mats do. None of these adhesive or velcro on the bottem to keep it in place.
Production room staff have stuck their mat down with packaging tape - two staff members had a close call with slipping on the mats.
What staff say - "Why do we have thin carpet/straw mats their in the first place?"
