Reverential - of the nature of, due to, or characterized by reverence.

Distinguish - recognize or treat someone or something as different.

Violated - break or fail to comply with a rule or formal agreement.

Scrounge - seek to obtain something, typically food or money at the expense or through the generosity of others or by stealth.

Astonished - greatly surprised or impressed; amazed.

Consolation - the comfort received by a person after a loss or disappointment.

Gallantry - courageous behaviour, especially in battle.

Stern - serious and unrelenting, especially in the assertion of authority and exercise of discipline.
